Review: P.s I Still Love You by Jenny Han

Title: P.S I Still Love You
Author: Jenny Han
Publishers: Simon and Schuster
Page Count: 337

Goodreads Synopsis:

Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?

I absolutely adored the first book in this series so I was worried that I would not like the sequel half as much as I did not know what direction this book would take after the ending of To All The Boy's I've Loved Before but I enjoyed this book just as much.

I was sceptical about the plot of this book when I started reading it because when I finished TATBILB I was curious about how this book would continue on because in my opinion the first book in this duology could have been the only book but as I read further on I saw the plot forming and this book took an interesting turn. Although I thought that, there were some points in this book where I felt like this story was completely detached to the first book, for example, a character comes into Lara Jean's life which makes the reader completely rethink the ending that the first AND second book had set out.

In this book I liked Lara Jean so much more than I did in the first book. I thought she was much more interesting and had more attitude. On the other hand I don't think I liked Peter as much in this book. Don't get me wrong, he was just as gorgeous and wonderful but I think I liked how much more we didn't know about him in the first book.

Some new characters were introduced in this book, one being John. I liked John throughout the book but I think that his purpose in the book was not something I enjoyed. I feel like the plot that John created for this book was not my favourite and made the ending feel a little bit rushed.

As for the romance in this book, it was sweet and cute all over. There was nothing too dramatic or heartbreaking but I think it went well with this book and the characters and plot.

Overall I loved this book and I gave it...

5/5 stars

That's all for this review! I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you again soon!

Happy Reading!
