Review: Addicted To You by Krista and Becca Ritchie

Title: Addicted To You
Author(s): Krista and Becca Ritchie
Page count: 324

Goodreads Synopsis:

No one would suspect shy Lily Calloway’s biggest secret. While everyone is dancing at college bars, Lily stays in the bathroom. To get laid. Her compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own.

Loren Hale’s best friend is his bottle of bourbon. Lily comes at a close second. For three years, they’ve pretended to be in a real relationship, hiding their addictions from their families. They’ve mastered the art of concealing flasks and random guys that filter in and out of their apartment.

But as they sink beneath the weight of their addictions, they cling harder to their destructive relationship and wonder if a life together, for real, is better than a lie. Strangers and family begin to infiltrate their guarded lives, and with new challenges, they realize they may not just be addicted to alcohol and sex.

Their real vice may be each other.

This book was so much better than I thought it would be. When I first saw this book I thought it would be quite a graphic New Adult book but now that I've read it I realise that it is so much more. With a synopsis like this you would expect everything to be very graphic but the story does not go into that much detail and the actual thing that this book focuses on is addictions.

The plot of this book is so much better than the synopsis suggests. The story mainly was about getting over addictions and how hard that is, also it is about family and being accepted.

I loved the characters in this book and I loved their relationship because it was weird and not your usual relationship but it was so nice to read about them and I found myself attached to their relationship and all of the characters in this book.

There were so many side characters that were just as good as the two main characters and that is what really made me love the book because there were so many different characters which made this book twice as interesting.

I was so sure that I was going to give this book 4/5 stars until I read the last 20% of the book because it got so emotional towards the end because things start to final become resolved and some plot twists are revealed but I found myself ALMOST in tears at the end because it was heart breaking to read and because of this I bumped it up to 5 stars.

Although I did see the plot twist coming I did not expect it when it did but I thought it set up for the second book so well and I need the next book now!

Overall I loved this book and I cannot wait to read the rest of these books! I gave it 5/5 stars.

That's all for this review! I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you again soon!

Happy Reading!
